The Best Tucson Mariachi Music!
Posted on Tue, Jan 26, 2010
Mariachis and their music are synonomous with the passion and personality of the Mexican culture.
At Guadalajara Grill, we are proud to be Tucson's favorite destination for live Mariachi Music 7 nights a week.
The origins of Mariachi music go back hundreds of years. Some say the word was derived from the French word marriage during the reign of Emperor Maximilian I, while others claim it comes from a native Mexican word for the type of wood that was used to make the platforms the village musicians stood on while they played.
Regardless of where it comes from, everyone loves Mariachi music, and the form of music we are familiar with today has its roots ... that's right, in the Mexican State of Jalisco in a small village named Cocula, just outside of Guadalajara!
Now, is it any wonder why we wanted to offer the best Arizona Mariachi Music?
If you love Mariachi music, and want to learn more about its history and origins, its legendary performers, their ensembles and instruments and the timeless songs themselves, we invite you to participate in this blog where we will be sharing with our knowledge and love of Mariachis!
